This individual needs to have the ability to work calmly under pressure, make time-sensitive decisions in emergency situations, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excel in a team-oriented environment and be adaptable to change.As an Emergency Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls and requests for service by public safety personnel, general public and campus emergency systems; be responsible for dispatching officers to calls utilizing a radio system and computer-aided-dispatch; monitor security equipment, process alarms, and maintain operations in the Emergency Communications Center.
